May, Drew and Jody were on the ground from the attack that Jessie unleashed from her eyes, which happened to be butterflies that suddenly materialized, glowing purple with an emotionless face, charging at them like shooting stars with a white streak from behind. They were still circling the fallen coordinators like a swarm of flies to dog poop, unleashing a dark, star-shape and shadowy dust glittering all over them, making them have a face showing they were uncomfortable with the scent of it. They flew back to Jessie the same way that she unleashed them, falling back into the butterfly-shaped glasses without lenses she was wearing, falling into place like a well-shuffled deck of cards and fading away after they landed in perfect formation.
Rivera was laughing, along with Jessie as she put her pink-gloved left hand next to her chin in an evil look as she did so, the right one on her stomach, taunting the coordinators when she did, "I can't believe that you pathetic trainers would fall surprise from something as weak as that! I thought that you people were good trainers, but I guess that I was wrong." she put her hands by her side again, opening her eyes and rising up as the smoke from the other side of the river cleared up. "Well I can see that things been looking better ever since I joined up with that Harley guy, even though something happened in the past that would make me wonder why I decided to do so. But all that matters is that now I have real power . . . to use on you little twerps!"
Jody got up first, her legs struggling, and the other trainers began to get up in the same state. Her hands next to her legs and shaking along with the pink hair damaged from the stain of falling onto the dirt of the grass, she stood up for herself and yelled at Jessie with her voice losing the valley-girl flavor: "You think that something like that's going to stop me or something?" she pointed across the river, seemingly making a small wave (unusual in a river to say the least, and even more that she was able to do that) as she did so, and shouted more, "Making a surprise attack's not going to do anything here, especially if you're going to use it on humans. Why don't we have a Pokémon Battle right here, right now?"
Rivera, twirling her blue hair in patterns while Jody was saying those words, rose up and talked in a low voice, not caring about what the others were saying already. "Looks like you guys haven't had enough, and I don't think that a Pokémon Battle's going to be solving anything around here. But why don't I do something to get things wet? River Power! Time to drown!" she held up her hands in a praying way, closing her eyes, then suddenly her entire body glowed a water-blue starting from the hands that she held high to her head then to legs. The other people in the scene, including the curious Jessie and confused background people, looked as a small drop of water that was glowing like the rest of her body fell from the sky in the into the river in front of her, making large vibrations surprising to the size of the drop in comparison to another wave (it actually vibrated side to side of the river, edging when it hit the ridge of the dirt where land began). The water quickly began bubbling like boiling water or air blown through a straw, growing more and more active, growing alive. The glowing blue water became the size of a wave on the beach, but the shape of a wall and held right in the middle of the river, frozen. It then collapsed quickly as it became alive again and crashed down on the three across the river and many innocent people unaware of what they were about to feel, soaking the clothes of the main coordinators and making them fall back down onto the ground. "Guess you guys are scared of the water or something, right?"
May got up after being soaked by the attack, panting from the two things that she felt so far by the duo across the river, angry at the fact that it happened as well. Holding her fist in rage, she yelled at them, "How in the world did you two manage you get those powers? Here's another thing: Jessie . . . long time no see, don't you think? Your looks are so cool and beautiful today, and I'm not the kind of person that would judge something like that so easily! It's much better than the repetitive crap that you used to wear when you were hanging out with those old friends of yours. Where'd you get it and how much did it cost?" she turned her head over to Rivera. "I don't know who you are, but you're a good looker as well, you two are so great together!"
Drew, soaked with water from the attack that Rivera used like the other two, got up suddenly, but put his hands over his face in embarassment at the strange compliments that May just said, even making a sweatdrop that was more noticed than the dripping liquid from his body. He shook his head in disgrace and said his next words lowly, "I can't believe that you would even say something like that, May! They're the bad guys, after all, and they're nothing you're supposed to be rewarding other than something that they deserve- getting their asses whooped by us so that we can leave this place and get on to BlueBrook Town. Now you be a good little coordinator and take back those words you said about Jessie and Rivera, like you're supposed to."
Rivera twirled her blue hair a little more, and spat out on the side of the river, replying to the other words, "If you want to know where we got these powers and our good looks, then you should join Scarow online and serve Scarow King, Harley! He gave us all the things that we would ever want in our dreams, and even so he gave us much more than that. But it looks like registration is full and you better be a match for us if you want to save the Ancient Sea Stone that lies here before we get it and make all of you go somewhere you don't even want to." she lifted her hands high into the air and another small wave appeared, but wasn't the dangerous one that she unleashed before on the other side. "I see that you like my new powers, right?"
In the Scarow's Emerald Castle, also their lair, Harley was in it, sitting in a throne completely made of jade with spikes coming out from some parts of it, appearing to stab Harley directly on hid head and legs but somehow made him comfortable for the person that he is. He was looking down onto the floor, which was transparent the way it was on the outside of the castle on the jade bridge, except this time an image was there similar to a movie screen, showing the scene at Grace River with May, Drew, Jody; Jessie and Rivera there, "Well I see that word of my greatness has already begun to spread around here, even though it shoulda been like that from the start . . . they better not go nuts and mess this one up- I need that stone."
On Grace River, Jessie and Rivera were staring hard at the other three (along with the other people confused of the events that were happening), about to make their next move in addition to the previous ones that they have already did whom were supernatural powers a regular human would never be able to do. It was like a duel, with their hair flying gently in the breeze waiting for the other person to make the next move rather than them. Sentrets and Zigzagoons watched along with the rest of the people in their soaked habitats from the water of Rivera's move, and some with powder scattered all over from the butterfly attack Jessie utilized, eyes shaking with worry and some of them running away from the scene of the battle.
"If it's a battle you want, then it's a battle you get, and Jessie, you better not cheat like you did in the past when you were back with Team Rocket," claimed May. She looked down and noticed her tiny little blue water turtle, giving an eyeful back at her, fully recooperated from the battle it had earlier with Jody's Bubblish in which it tried but lost. "Let's go, Squirtle!" she pointed at her determined and healed shellfish Squirtle and it rose up into action, vaulting in the air to absorb back into its turtle shell, spinning rapidly to propell itself over to the other side of the large river, and when it did so, it released its entire body, landing on its feet and May looking excited of the battle to happen. "If you two are going to fight dirty, so are we- Squirtle, Water Gun them!"
Squrtle obeyed May and vaulted into the air, withdrawing into its brown shell ready to attack (its head first, followed by arms and legs, but still leaving the unique tail out), and began spinning quickly as it did so; Jessie and Rivera were surprised at the quick reaction that the small water-type was giving out, but still had a look of confidence about the subject. Squirtle stopped in midair, with no support of being able to float like that except for the speed of its spinning the way that an airplane can travel in the sky, and sprayed a burst of water from all directions of its body- the parts that looked like holes since it withdrew into its body, spinning and looking like a water fountain spliting into many directions, but little considering it was small.
Jessie was being sprayed with the five water holes that rotated (barely because Squirtle was small and couldn't add that much force into it) and got angry, looking down on her soaked clothes furious she wasn't able to stop it; Rivera on the other hand, was enjoying it and made poses of enjoyment as she took a gentle shower in the water (except her clothes were still on), her hair in the water's rainbow waving back and forth, putting a look of disgust on Jessie's face since Rivera was enjoying it and she wasn't. Jessie yelled. "Fine then, since you got me and my hair wet, time for you to go somewhere, twerps." she took out two purple PokéBalls with red ruffles and an evil pattern on it. "Go two Weavile! Scarow Balls do your thing!" she threw it into the air with rage, smirking afterwards.
The evil PokéBall released her two dangerous looking Weavile, which takes on the appearance of a black, bipedal feline warrior garbed in a red crown and a red collar. Its headgear is representative of the Aztec culture. It held out its claws like swords, and they shined in the sun above before the battle, showing it was filled with pride of them and was eager to attack to a limit unknown. Both of them leaped high into the sky, in perfect unison, and attacked Squirtle while it was still attempting to continue spraying Jessie and Rivera with water- one of them slashing the poor turtle thus forcefully knocking it out of its brown shell in surprise; the second one slashing it while it was defenseless, knocking it to the ground. Both of them laughed.
May ran over to her Squirtle, whom was rolling on the ground after its shell was pierced slightly from the claw, on the dirt and crying as it was still young and not able to easily take pain. "That's no fair, Jessie! Two against one isn't something that I like to see, and that happening to something so small and young makes it even more mean!" she reached down and took up Squirtle, holding it in her hands and it slowly settled crying as if her hands were able to allow it to recooperate. "I hope that you're alright. You had to face two things in a row already: against Jody's Bubblish, and now you were just ambushed by two Pokémon. I guess that you're pretty strong for being able to take something like that, right?"
Rivera was still in her careless state, kicking back at the trees behind her like leaning on a subway door with nothing to do, her eyes looking down into the water casting her reflection and hair so blue that it almost blended into the light of the water. She reached back up and looked at May holding her Squirtle, bored that she didn’t do anything yet but ready to spring into action. “Looks like you people have nothing to do but bore me to death. I might as well go and look for that whatever stone before you blame me for not getting it when you should be the one to go and help me for the sake of proving yourself to Harley, Jessie. You were the one that said you were doing this for him, right?”
Jessie sweatdropped at the words that Rivera said. “Actually, I decided to come down here so that I can take care of that dumb May brat, because she’s the one that made me and my friends a long time ago die time after time, and that was pretty annoying.” She became angry all of a sudden. “What do you mean I would have failed? You better get on out of here and find the ancient something before I make you, and besides, you have nothing to do right now anyways, so you better get along or else.”
Rivera stood the same way that she was, not caring about the raging face that was now on Jessie when she became angry. She brushed her blue hair back with her hands and took something out of her pocket that was had the same appearance as the BubbleBall Jody used earlier, except the pattern on it was much more darker than usual, with the bubbles purple and the outline of it shaped the same as poison. “You want me to go and find that thing for you so much, then fine, might as well keep my babies out to help me while I’m doing so.” She jumped into the river, which was going downstream, but went the opposite direction until she got to the small mountain as tall as a high hill (except it was gray as rocks at the top instead of the natural green), climbed it comically quick, leaving the scene of Jessie and smirking as she did so when she got to the top in seconds.
Jody went over to May’s side, having a look of worry on her face as she looked down at the damaged and shaking Squirtle she was carrying in the palm of her hands. Jody then stared across the dozen-meter river in fear and saw the two Weavile gazed at her in the same way, statues coming alive and ready to eat her at any second. “Those things sure look like Pokémon you wouldn’t want to meet if you were in a dark alley . . .” pausing in thought for a little while, she gave May a pat on the back and went over to Drew’s side, looking down in his pocket a way May wouldn’t approve of. “Use your PokéDex, then.”
"This is going to be the first time that I'm going to be using a PokéDex, so I might as well use it since there's a first time for everything . . . " Drew took out the PokéDex that was in his pocket, and held it out directly at the ruffles of Weavile, and the tip of it glowed a healthy red, speaking in a mechanical voice: Weavile, the Sharp Claw Pokémon. It is said that its headgear is representative of the Aztec culture. Weavile have three claws on each paw, instead of two like its pre-evolved form, Sneasel. Weavile are known to travel and live in pairs and are very mischievous. Drew slid the PokéDex back into his candy-blue pockets. "Those sure are some strange Pokémon. Possibly from a region I never went to . . . "
Jody thought of something: Well that's one of the Pokémon considered rare here in the Zuki region . . . I don't know anything about it, but I can at least trust Drew to take care of it one way or the other. I should try to take it down though.
Drew stared at the two Dark and Ice Pokémon across the river, a look of worry but not one of fear, as he reached into his candy-blue pocket and reached out a regular red and white PokéBall, holding it in front of him to press the button thus making it bigger, then throwing it into the air. Those Pokémon seem to be good at aerial attacks, so I might as well use something that can do the same idea. Since they're also Ice types in addition to Dark, I can't use Flygon even though it's also able to use aerial attacks but is also a Dragon and Ground type, meaning that I'll die in a second. Even though Masquerain is still weak against Ice types, I'll be able to hold its own more . . . "Go Masquerain! Let's get ready to fight Ice with Ice!"
The PokéBall spinning in the air released Masquerain, with its red giant antennae and blue cute face ironically different than what seems to be its eyes on the field and rapidly flapping wings like a hummingbee; the two wings resembled eyeballs that could frighten a person new to it. It made chirping sounds as it went in the air, constantly moving side-to-side as it did so. "Mas-Mas-Masquerain!" it chirped, and without taking any orders from Drew, it somehow knew what to do. It flew quickly into the air and both of its wings began glowing, then shot out two lasers of ice that crossed each other into one forming a double-helix at Weavile, splitting out to attack the both of them, but failed when both of the Dark and Ice types vaulted out of the way.
"You don't think that a slow attack like that's going to be able to stop a beautiful person like me, now do you?" taunted Jessie. "If you insist on throwing things like that around, then it better be better or else you're gonna end up blasting off!" she pointed to her double Weavile, whom was still jumping around even after they dodged the attack from Squirtle. They may be quick, but who cares. I don't like to think. Just here to win! "Whatever, use your Ice Claw on you-know-who!"
Mutually, both of the Weavile obeyed- its silver claws lit up an icy blue and began leaping around the grassland in a more hurriedly way, but still focused to carry out what she said as they made a vault higher than the elevated oak trees with the leaves blowing in midst of the battle, blocking the sun and able to survive the heat of its glare as it charged back down. Seemingly disappearing as if an illusion, they vanished into thin air and reappeared directly in front of Masquerain- about only one centimeter before it would touch it- leaving the poor bug in fear of the pain it would feel, and the both of them ready to slash it of its fearful appearance. Bizarrely, both of them dodged before attacking and shredding the poor Masquerain and continued on, avoiding the bug completely, and was now charging at May in a frenzy unexplainable to Drew, putting a appalled gaze on May as the Weavile approached her, and braced herself by putting arms over face. Both of the Weavile slashed her with piercing force- one after the other in respective order, shattering the hard but real ice on its claws after the loud slash like a work of art destroyed onto her and making May fall down onto the ground with force as she rolled back, the ice falling all around her as she hit the nearest tree, her hands still over her face in fear that took away the pain. The two attackers returned back by Jessie’s side with their claws across their body as if they were swords that have just slayed a living being; the pain they have caused showed glittered their swords in the sun as they chuckled a sinister way.
May was in pain, her red clothes in the dirt as she crouched in fear of what would happen next, her bandana shaking as the rest of her body, and her face closed up by her hand, but her right eye staring out a tiny crack looking at the two Pokémon that had just attacked her with their Ice Claw- worried that they might come back for another move while barely able to defend herself. Jessie would actually go through all that so that she could attack me with two of her Pokémon? Attacking me head on is already bad, but having a Pokémon do it is just plain evil . . . something like this is happening . . . I'm scared of it. she whispered silently to herself: "I hope that I don't have to feel that again . . . someone help me . . . "
Drew went over to May's side, but with the same look that he has always given to her- seriousness, even though it was strange that this one showed he cared about the condition that May was in right now. I hope that she's alright . . . time to hurt Jessie for doing this. When he got over to her side, he gave May a gentle pat, taking her hand gently (not the way that a couple would do it obviously) and lifting her up to look at her in a gentle way as they exchanged looks. "Are you okay now May? I know that you just got hurt by an attack from two Pokémon, and that was really cowardly, but I'll make sure that something like that doesn't happen again. The best thing for you to do right now is get some rest, like go by the bench or something.
May nodded for once at Drew's words, quickly running over to one of the benches in front of the large set of trees that were empty (even though all of them were empty anyways), and sat down with her legs touching each other leaning over to the left side, but not covering her eyes the way that she did earlier this time, but her blue eyes still had that painful emotion on it. Suddenly, she stood up surprisingly to the condition that she was in and held out her white and blue gloved hands next to her mouth like a soundspeaker, directing her words of courage to Drew as she closed her eyes and said them happily: "I know that you can do it, Drew! Go Drew! You can do it!" she held her hands by her side now, but a face of new hope on it.
On the top of the mountain that was about the size of a tall hill, the part where the water of the river was drooling so that it would be the arena where May, Drew and Jody were battling on right now, Rivera was on top, walking in a sly and girly way as she did so closing her eyes with power. She stood out from the rest of the people around her (the people in this part of the river didn't know about the battle happening below the hill), being much taller than they were and about the only being other than some of the kids around that could be seen moving around. Occasionally, she stopped at a set of rocks on the ground and picked out the ones with a more vivid color than the others, throwing away the rest, but in the end she tossed the others across the river and barely passing Jessie as if she was aiming at the battling woman. Rivera continued walking along the rocks, jumping across some of the bigger ones as she did so, and her hair moving smoothly like water as she resumed looking.
Some of the kids laughing (about three of them were there) and having a good time that were playing with action figures and toy airplanes ran by her just a centimeter from where she was about to walk- almost hitting her on the lower part of her legs but not having any reaction when they saw her or anything of the like. Without adding any words to the circling the younglings were doing, her hands glowed a dark blue starting from the right hand to the left and unleashed blue energy beams out that targeted the kids, making cerulean sparks appear just right in front of them and made the children run away in fear of her attacking again. The sparks suddenly became bubbles that popped close to them as they fled. "Those kids are so annoying."
The kids that were attacked by Rivera fell to the ground and began whining, saying things like "Help mom", and "Oww!". Two adults went by, holding their kids, whom have fell because of her, in their hands and looking at Rivera in disgust, carried them away without saying anything to her. Rivera stuck out her tongue at them for looking at her like that, which revealed a tongue piercing of the picture of a pink flower with a yellow center being surrounded by blue bubbles. The flower shot out a blue beam from the center that targeted the parents and the kids that they were carrying (the mother carried two small kids while the father carried a child about six years old), causing the same small explosion from them with the bubbles as the aftermath.
Rivera smirked as they all ran away, even though the ones that she attacked didn't get damaged in any way but were simply fazed by the water moves. She walked off and scoffed at them. "What a pathetic group of people. That's what they get for getting in my way. Maybe next time, they'll learn to swim." There was a big rock ahead of her, one that was bigger than the ones she passed by so far as her legs wouldn't be long enough to skip this one. It had a blue-tone to it, but not one powerful enough to be considered sapphire- more considered to be looking like many rocks dipped in a coat of blue then glued together to make one large one, as they had cracks that seemed to be made of many smaller ones. "Is this what he was looking for?"
Drew was still battling with his one Masquerain against both of Jessie's Weavile, while May was still getting over some of the pain from the attack she felt earlier. Drew's Masquerain and the double-opponent were still going at it, making random attacks at each other, with both sides dodging them as the Masquerain shot random glowing white orbs (Hidden Power) while Weavile was still using Ice Claw, shattering glass all over the field. Unluckily for Drew, it was two hits and a miss- while the Weavile dodged one attack from Masquerain, the bug got hit once in a while as the weasels preferred attacking twice in perfect formation, and Jody was now alongside May worried about what was happening to her and slightly cowarding as well.
Rivera was laughing, along with Jessie as she put her pink-gloved left hand next to her chin in an evil look as she did so, the right one on her stomach, taunting the coordinators when she did, "I can't believe that you pathetic trainers would fall surprise from something as weak as that!
